A cookie that Karen’s Nana Young called a “Jewish Cookie”.   Maybe a variation of a Mandelbrot, which is a Yiddish word meaning almond bread.  Some refer to it as the Jewish equivalent to biscotti.  Here is the handwritten recipe:

Steps

1
Done

Mix

Mix all ingredients together. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.

2
Done

Roll

Roll dough into two long rolls. Place on a greased cookie sheet.

3
Done

Cook

Cook for 5 minutes (temperature?). Cut into pieces. Layout and cook until golden brown on the bottom. Turn over and cook for about 20 minutes.

4
Done

Store

Keep in a covered container.
